Hans onboard

Hans is a local here, we'll be seeing more of him I am sure!

One day he'll get a kayak, but for now he has to come with me!

Hans pushing up Kelsey Tier... heading for Alison's Lizzard

Hard work going up, hard work going down too!

Quick run around the Don track to finish off a nice ride...

Elad came for a visit

Couchsurfer Elad from Israel found us on www.couchsurfing.com and came to us for a couple of nights. I took him for a paddle and a ride of course. The ailing Pinny only just made the short ride to the river!

He survived! His first attempt to leave us was foiled, but after a night at the Tasman Backpacker he got on the right track again.

Jacko is beaming with happiness!

Took Michael 'Jacko' Jakupec on the kayak today, boy was he in a good mood!

His animal magnetism was phenomenal....

Fit as a fiddle too!

Jacko even saw a penguin or two, but they were too quick/small for me and the camera. Posted by Picasa

Cleaning the kayaks

Here is a more decent picture of me...

Katherine hosing off my mess...

Good thing the camera is in the waterproof casing...

And I was wet already anyways...

Jarrod still wet behind the ears!

Self portrait...

Jarrod racing for the bridge, took a while to get there as the tide was coming in fast! Not bad for a fiorst timer! Look at him, couldn't be more of a natural.

Getting out wet was half the fun wasn't it! Posted by Picasa

Wayne and JR on the water

Coast is clear mate!

Ahum, just for the Searoad Mersey that is... Wake up!

Nice to have a big SUV till you need to lift those kayaks up!

Mind you, JR can do it himself if needed! Posted by Picasa

Paddling with JR and Wayne

What a team! Couldn't tear'um apart!

Obviously in need of help....

Two tug boats to the rescue and myself... They did not need me apparently...

After we identified the skirt and the rudder we mounted the rigs... After only one false start, which ended in the mud, we got going. Going down river was just dandy, but coming back proved to be a challenge. Kimmy managed to twirl back upriver with only a few damaged oysters but successfully avoided a headon with the one boat we encountered en-route.

Geocaching in Virginia

Shane did a miracle find of 'The Honey Pot' right on dusk.... the park closed at dusk!

K and I went along the Appalachian Trail and found this ammo box in the middle of the forrest. Took us forever to spot it despite its size and colour...

Geocaching with Alvin and Lapearl we found a Quaker home and graveyard, and the cache was found in a 'friendly corner' of a shed there.

For those that don't know about geocaching check here: <geocaching.com>
