Yesterday we drove out to Culpeper in VA to see how Billy and Sarah's (K's sister) house turned out. We stopped on the way for a good walk and a quick visit to Kerry Christ (old friend of K's).
House turned out fine didn't it!
Plenty of riding opportunity for the kids...
And a special guest appearance by Michael and Elisabeth O'Reily, parents of three children with CF! We showed our ten minute clip to them all. I am sure the fact I am older then Michael must have made a bit of an impact on them. See Kiki and Maddy below!

Running out of time
We are running out of time! I have so many photos to put here, just not getting around to it!
The above photo was taken at Kris's house nearby, where I took lots of cool pool pictures - <click here for more>
Above is in the Bullrun park where we did some more wild geocaching...
And we visited Arthur and Diane's store to stock up on outdoor gear...
Various photos are <here>.
Of course there is much more to report on but I must sleep first.

Escape from OBX
Forgot to mention how we left the Outerbanks. The lights all went out for no apparent reason in the area at around 730pm, just before dusk. Because Jim sleeps with a snorring device which needs power and I have a nebuliser which likes power too, we decided to vacate. The original intention was to leave the following morning. Hastings and his 2 friends had already left earlier in the day, as had George and Loreen with their kids.
So we did an imprompty panic evacuation, trying to pack up with the little bit of sun-light left. At 1030pm Sarah and Billy with kids and Jim and Faith with kids (us) left for VA! We all arrived home about 330am.
The nice thing was that we could pick up Astrolab a day early! He was very pleased and got a good patting/brushing from all of us!

Our walk on the AT
Every chance we get we go for a little hike here near the Appalachian Trail at Sky Meadows. We have it all mapped out but still see different things all the time.
Tiny orange nute...
Here is the trail, in between two major storms we just struck it lucky to stay dry for a couple of hours!
Some things you find everywhere in the world... Scottish thistle, Scotland's national emblem is a weed in most of the world.

Geocaching around Haymarket
We discovered a nice little park a stone throw from K's parents. It is the site of two major battles of the American Civil War, the First Battle of Bull Run, and the Second Battle of Bull Run: http://www.brmconservancy.org/trail_map.html
Nice geocaching here and some wildlife too.
Raggae!
Raggae can be enjoyed by everyone!
Busy preparing... Tent almost blew over in the freak storm, we had to go and hike in the hills for a few hours, we had to drink beer,...
But it all came together in the end. Even the gass BBQ mystery got solved, no thanks to my skills...
Liz instructed K. on the intracacies of accepting credit cards with a straight face.

Last Couple of Days of OBX Sun
Always hard to come to the end of a fun time, but it is slowly happening.
We tried to go to the fastest billy cart track in the Outerbanks (OBX) but it was shut.
We did find other cool activities, just check these photos <NOW HERE>
And the traditional family picture was taken today just before George, Loreen, Ethan and JK the Third left for their home in Richmond.

Fishing trip in NC
Here is the crew we have to thank for the next 127 meals of fish. They bravely got up at 430am, got coffee from Faith and left for an hours drive to the port. They then spend another 2 hours getting to the fishing spot, two hours fishing and two hours returning, another drive home and now they are buggered. Thank you Jim and co!

Outerbanks Family Reunion
The Golden Eye at Sanderling was summoned to accommodate the troops again, and we all got their safely after many hours of driving.
Karick and Hunter were out on the beach when Walter and Aunty arrived.
Grandma efficiently organised the kitchen....
